Topgard® HTE Protective Caps Lightweight, durable Topgard HTE slotted Caps are built for use by industries where elevated temperature, Class E head protection is necessary. Limited resistance to top impact or penetration is retained through a wide range of temperatures. Topgard HTE Caps meet or exceed the applicable requirements for a Type I helmet (top impact) as outlined in ANSI Z89.1-2003, CSA Z94.1-2005, Class E (electrical—high voltage) and NFPA 70E. Topgard HTE Caps are not specifically designed to protect against lateral blows from the front, side or rear. MSA’s Vanguard Type II protective helmets are so designed and must be used if lateral protection is desired. For more information, contact your local MSA distributor. The Comfo-Cap Protective Cap is widely used in the mining industry for head protection. The cap has a low-crown clearance for work in low-ceiling areas and is equipped with a lamp bracket and cordholder to support a miner’s lamp. Made of lightweight, tough polycarbonate plastic, the shell helps resist top impacts. Molded cross ridges on the crown provide increased strength and rigidity. The cap’s peak helps protect the wearer’s eyes and face from small falling objects |
