Update: February 2003 Weapons of Mass Destruction, Emergency Response Web Resources
Scope: This document is designed to provide the responder with a comprehensive list of internet sites for reference purposes. All resources listed are WMD specific and have been compiled to assist responders with a variety of professional published papers that assists the emergency response planning, preparation, and training processes. Web resource listings are divided into functional categories for ease of use and cross referencing.
There is a vast amount of information available through the internet for emergency response reference materials. As an introduction to understanding the extreme complexities of how all federal organizations and offices interact with one another under the Department of Homeland Security initiative, refer to the organizational chart depicted at http://cns.miis.edu/research/cbw/domestic.htm#wmdchart
NOTE: An interactive copy of this document can be found on the companion CD which accompanies the student guide. This brief introduction and table of contents are published as a reference point within the student guide. Because the actual document is 74 pages, the Center for Domestic Preparedness has not republished the document in its entirety to conserve paper and protect forests. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater is necessary to open the html (web) document and activate the hyperlinks which are provided for ease of use. Open the folder named web resources and double click the explorer icon to activate the document. When interacting with the electronic version of this document, verify that an active connection to the internet is established.
