Pressure-Demand Air-Line Respirators |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
These respirators are designed to maintain a slight positive pressure of air inside the facepiece, whether the wearer is inhaling or exhaling. This helps to prevent contaminants from seeping in around the facepiece, even if there should be small breaks in the face-to facepiece seal. MSA Pressure-Demand Air-Line Respirators are designed to be used in toxic atmospheres not immediately dangerous to life or health as defined in 42 CFR, Part 84. The respirator is available with a belt-mounted pressure-demand regulator with quick-disconnect assembly, web belt, and either a full facepiece or half-mask facepiece connected by a flexible breathing tube. Applications include welding, painting, and handling certain hazardous materials. NIOSH certified for operation at 65-85 psig with 8-300 feet of MSA hose. For more complete information, see Data Sheet 01-00-05. |
