ICM ® Tx Integrated PASS and HUD TransmitterMSA’s new ICM Tx Integrated PASS combines the safety features of the ICM 2000 Plus integrated PASS with the functionality of the Heads-Up-Display (HUD) transmitter in a new integrated PASS device that’s fully compliant with the latest requirements of the NFPA 1982-1998 edition PASS standard. Because it is now a single component on the Air Mask, firefighters benefit from a more compact andlighter weight (1/3 lb less!) design. The ICM Tx has been designed for maximum reliability and durability with the use of a new solid stateacceleromete r to detect the motion of a firefighter. Theuse of this technology provides a durable device that is sensitive to motion and resistant to false alarms. Other PASS features include: CM Tx Integrated PASS and HUD Transmitter • An integrated computer module for datalogging the mostrecent 25 hours of use and downloading this information onto your PC. • A digital display of battery status, cylinder pressure, heat alarm, and service time remaining. • A green LED "buddy light" which turns red when the PASS goes into full alarm.• An optional heat sensor with alarm to alert you to dangerous heat levels. The ICM Tx is a multifunctional HUD transmitter. It transmits 1/4 increment cylinderpressure status, PASS pre-alarm warnings and battery status to the HUD Receiver through a close-range digitally encoded radio signal. Users can choose the HUD intermittent-mode or the continuous-mode. The ICM Tx is modular and easy to maintain with a single-threaded connection to the SCBA. Any existing MSA MMR Air Mask can be easily upgraded by simply threading on the new ICM Tx.ICM Tx Integrated PASS and HUD Transmitter |

ICM 2000 and ICM 2000 Plus Combination PASS & Redundant Alarm The ICM 2000 and ICM 2000 Plus are Integrated Control Modules designed to meet NFPA-1982, 1998 Edition PASS standard and NFPA-1981, 2002 Edition SCBA requirements for redundant End-of-Service Time Indicators (EOST). The ICM 2000 is an all-in-one combination PASS and redundant alarm module that can be added to any MSA MMR or BMR SCBA. Simply remove the shoulder- mounted pressure gauge and replace it with the ICM module. The ICM 2000 Plus is an all-in-one combination PASS and redundant alarm with a built-in computer system that digitally displays SCBA performance information. The ICM 2000 Plus also offers a data logging and data downloading capability to retrieve up to 30 hours of SCBA usage information. The data provides information about the time of use, air-consumption rate, ambient temperature, and alarm activation. Through the device’s IR (infrared) port, the data can be downloaded onto a personal computer for future evaluation. For more information see Bulletin 0119-27-MC. |

DragonFly ® PASSThe DragonFly PASS from MSA was among the first PASS devices designed to meet the stringent NFPA-1982, 1998 Edition standard. This standard calls for automatic (hands-off) activation of stand-alone PASS devices as well as two jumps in pre-alarm volume. The DragonFly PASS exceeds the standard by offering a range of pre-alarm volumes and tones to help users avoid unnecessary progression to full alarm. Super-bright LED indicators provide visual indications: green indicates normal operation; red "wig-wag" indicates pre-alarm; |
and continuous red indicates full alarm. In addition, an easily accessible activation button allows users to summon help manually. The stand-alone DragonFly SA PASS features a tethered key designed to be attached to your jump seat, locker, or vehicle interior. When you jump to action, the key pulls out, and your Dragon Fly SA PASS activates and is on guard, monitoring your every move. Once the job is complete, you can turn off your stand-alone PASS by simply replacing the key and pressing reset twice. See Bulletin 0119-25-MC. |
